Tamil movie director V. Gowthaman and his supporters were arrested on Thursday after they disrupted traffic on the busy Kathipara Junction here.
Scores of protestors blocked traffic by putting up a chain across the road and sitting in protest, while shouting slogans in support of farmers and fishermen.
Traffic was restored after the police made the arrests.
Many farmers from Tamil Nadu have been holding protests in New Delhi for a month now demanding the waiver of their loans.
