India's leading IT solutions provider Mphasis on Friday said its Chief Executive Nitin Rakesh was named winner of the 2019 Gold Stevie award for 'Tech Innovator of the Year' (Services) by the New York-based premier 17th Annual American Business Awards in the US.
"Mphasis has been reignited from grounds up and cloud down with strategies and solutions implemented under Nitin's leadership," said the city-based company in a statement here.
Commending Nitin for reviving the company's business strategy to lead it with cloud and cognitive technologies, the awards' jury said the CEO's go-to-market strategy had fuelled its talent, as evident from its recent acquisitions and key partnerships.
Sharma will be presented the prestigious award at a special ceremony in New York on June 11.
"At Mphasis, we developed a unique approach to provide solutions and services for empowering enterprises in the digital age and help them stay ahead," said Sharma in the statement.
Stevie awards founder Michael Gallagher said the nominees were achievers in innovations across the American economic landscape.
"Over 3,800 nominations were received from diverse organisations for consideration in categories spanning public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small entities.
Over 200 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select winners.
