The Mughal Gardens at Rashtrapati Bhavan received over two and a half lakh visitors in the first two weeks after being opened to the public, an official statement said Tuesday.
"The Mughal Gardens and other Rashtrapati Bhavan gardens have received 2,86,942 visitors till March 2," the statement said.
The Mughal Gardens received the maximum visitors during weekends.
"The maximum number of visitors on a single day was 50,173 Feb 23, Sunday," the statement added.
The gardens opened to the public Feb 16 and will remain open till March 16.
