Aggressive Spanish tennis player Garbine Muguruza pulled off the biggest upset of the Wuhan Open Tuesday, rallying from a set down to stun second seed Simona Halep.
The two WTA rising stars had never played each other before, reports Xinhua.
Halep seemed to move through smoothly, winning the first set 6-2 in just 35 minutes.
But the match turned suddenly, as Muguruza stormed out to a 4-0 lead in the second set and, after tucking that one away in 6-2, Muguruza went on to take another four games in a row to finish off the third set and the match 2-6, 6-2, 6-3.
