Mukti Mohan, arguably one of the best dancers in showbiz, is participating in "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6" and praises the dance reality show for providing a platform to showcase her skills and learn more dance forms. She describes co-participants singer Shaan and international dancer and actress Lauren Gottlieb as her competition.
Apart from Lauren and Shaan, Mukti is competing with Karanvir Bohra, Drashti Dhami, Siddharth Shukla, Sana Saeed, Karan Patel, and "India's Got Talent" winners Sonali and Sumant for the winner's title.
"Every dancer as well as non-dancer is a competition. Shaan is someone, who has really come out to be a very clean and good storyteller through his body. He is a threat," she said.
"Also Lauren, she is a trained dancer. I used to watch her shows and performances. She was an inspiration for my sisters and me. Now the fact that she is my competitor is nerving. But it will be fun as well," she added.
Earlier, she had participated in the second season of "Zara Nachke Dikha" as part of Massakalli team, which won the second season of the show.
"I always wanted to be a part of the show ('Jhalak...'). I feel honoured and happy that they called me. I never expected it to happen... It is a platform-cum-learning experience," she said.
Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit, filmmaker Karan Johar and choreographer-director Remo D'Souza are judging the ongoing season of Colors channel's "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa".
"I did 'Zara Nachke Dikha', the theme was girls v/s boys...we had solo, group and duet performances. Then I did 'Comedy Circus' with Kapil Sharma. Then I got into theatre and did two plays. But here performing in front of these judges and the name itself is so big," she said.
She has big screen dreams too.
"I want commercial as well as non-commercial films. Every commercial movie will have dance and I will love to do a movie with a dancing number. But thanks to my theatre background, I can do other kinds of films too," she said.
