Former Trinamool Congress leader Mukul Roy, once the right hand man of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, on Monday met BJP General Secretary and West Bengal in-charge Kailash Vijayvargiya in Delhi, informed sources said.
The meeting between the two leaders comes amid specualations that Roy may join the Bharatiya Janata Party. Roy, one of the founding members of the Trinamool Congress, was suspended for six years for indulging in anti-party activities.
After being suspended from the party, Roy had dropped hints on his future course of action by saying that the BJP was not a communal party.
