Myanmar's Constitution Review Joint Committee Thursday invited proposals from the public for amendment of the 2008 State Constitution.

According to the committee's announcement aired by the state radio, the deadline for the proposals to be submitted to the parliament office is Nov 15, Xinhua reported.

The 109-member committee was set up in July with the Deputy Speaker of the Union Parliament as its chairman.

The move was seen as seeking a solution to the constitution issue in preparation for the 2015 general election.
