Actors Natalie Portman, Nicholas Hoult and Thandie Newton will star in filmmaker Xavier Dolan's "The Death and Life of John F. Donovan".
The three actors will join the previously announced cast members including Kit Harington, Jessica Chastain, Susan Sarandon, Kathy Bates, Michael Gambon and Bella Thorne, reports variety.com.
The story of the film will focus on a young actor who recalls his pen pal relationship with his American TV idol - played by Harrington - who died 10 years earlier, exploring the hardships of fame and hurdles of the movie business.
Dolan directed "It's Only the End of the World" last year with Marion Cotillard, Lea Seydoux, Vincent Cassel, Nathalie Baye and Gaspard Ulliel starring in it. His family drama "Mommy" was released in 2014.
"The Death and Life of John F. Donovan" is Dolan's first English language directorial.
