Actor Nayanthara, currently awaiting the release of "Iru Mugana, will be seen playing a police commissioner in upcoming Tamil thriller "Imaikaa Nodigal", which is slated to go on the floors from October.
"Contrary to reports, Nayanthara is not playing Atharvaa's pair. She will be seen in a pivotal role of a police commissioner. Director Ajay Gnanamuthu had only her in mind when he wrote the character. When she was narrated the role, she immediately gave her nod," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
To be produced by Cameo Films, the project will star a leading lady and the makers are yet to finalise her.
R.D Rajasekhar has been roped in to crank the camera.
