Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference President Farooq Abdullah on Friday ruled out any alliance for the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a function in Katra town, Abdullah said the National Conference would fight these elections on its own.
And once the party was voted to power, it would grant autonomy to various regions of the state, he added.
"Such a mechanism under the overall superintendence of the state government will further strengthen regional unity, which is imperative for the singular entity of Jammu and Kashmir," he said.
Abdullah hoped this will enhance the spirit of participatory decision making.
