Nepal President Bidhya Devi Bhandari arrived here on Monday on a four-day state visit to India.
This is Bhandari's first visit to India after assuming office in October 2015.
Bhandari will be given a ceremonial reception and accorded a guard of honour at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday.
"Neighbourhood first," External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Gopal Baglay tweeted while announcing the President's arrival.
Also on Tuesday, she will pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat and visit the Yamuna Biodiversity Park. She will call on President Pranab Mukherjee and attend a banquet hosted by him.
Bhandari will also visit Gujarat and Odisha before returning home.
