Nestle India's profit soared 117 per cent during the third quarter (July-September) of 2016, a company statement said here on Friday.
It posted net profit of Rs 269.39 crore for the third quarter compared to Rs 124.20 crore during the corresponding period in 2015.
The net sales of the company for the third quarter stood at Rs 2,346 crores compared to Rs 1,736 crore posted a year ago.
"Our growth was broad based across categories aided by spate of innovations and renovation of over 25 new products launched in the recent past. We are now clearly in the leadership position in the instant noodles category, which vindicates consumer confidence and trust in brand Maggi," said Suresh Narayanan, Chairman and Managing Director of Nestle India.
