The Mongolian parliament has approved a new government composition, according to media reports.
Under the new composition, there will be 15 ministries with a 19-member Cabinet, it was reported Thursday.
Besides one minister for each of the 15 ministries, other Cabinet members will include the head of the Cabinet office and a minister without portfolio, in addition to the prime minister and the deputy prime minister, Xinhua reported.
The minister without portfolio will be in charge of financing and implementing major national projects and programmes.
After the approval, parliament Speaker Enkhbold Zandaakhuu announced that the newly appointed Prime Minister Chimed Saikhanbileg could proceed to form his government.
The prime minster would have to submit a Cabinet lineup to the parliament by Friday, Zandaakhuu said.
