Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said a new India which stands for development is emerging.
"A new India is emerging, which is being powered by the strength and skills of 125 crore Indians. This India stands for development," he tweeted.
Modi's tweet came after the Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday registered landslide victory in assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
The BJP is also trying to take power in Goa and Manipur.
"When we mark 75 years of freedom in 2022, we should have made an India that will make Gandhiji, Sardar Patel and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar proud," the Prime Minister said.
