Argentine football league leaders Newell's Old Boys were held to a 1-1 draw by Godoy Cruz de Mendoza.
Horacio Orzan gave Newell's the advantage with an early goal in the sixth minute at Marcelo Bielsa Stadium Friday in Rosario, a city 300 km north of the capital Buenos Aires, reports Xinhua.
The visiting team finally caught up in the 60th minute, with a fortunate goal by midfielder Jose Luis Fernandez. The ball bounced off a rival player before going past Newell's goalkeeper Nahuel Guzman.
Newell's, who lost to Rosario Central 1-2 in the previous game, now have 27 points against Godoy Cruz's 20.
