Neymar wants to play in both the Copa America and Olympic Games this summer, despite the contrary wishes of his club Barcelona, the forward's agent has said.
"Neymar wants to play in both competitions," Wagner Ribeiro was quoted as saying by the Globo newspaper, Xinhua news agency reported.
"We are going to negotiate with Barcelona, who have asked him to choose between both competitions. But Neymar has already decided. He wants to play in both," Riberio said.
Barcelona president Jose Bartomeu had said on Saturday that it would be "impossible" for Neymar to play in both competitions.
But the Brazilian's agent, Wagner Ribeiro, said the 24-year-old had not given up hope of convincing Barcelona otherwise.
The centenary edition of the Copa America will be played in the US from June 3 to 26. The Olympic football tournament will be played in six Brazilian cities from August 3 to 20.
