Musician Nile Rodgers knew late singer David Bowie had "problems".
Rodgers, who was a good friend of Bowie, says he was kept in the dark about his illness but sensed something wasn't right when he struggled while recording a video message during an awards ceremony in 2011, reports mirror.co.uk.
"I didn't know David had liver cancer, but I knew he had problems back then," Rodgers told The Sun newspaper.
"He sent a film for me and his speech was more deliberate than normal. Normally he speaks like you or I, and he's quite lucid. He speaks fast and he's brilliant and wonderful, but he really was quite deliberate in that film," he added.
Bowie passed away on January 10 after battling cancer.
