Maharashtra Industries Minister Narayan Rane's son Nitesh, who was arrested for damaging a toll booth and beating its operators Tuesday evening was released on bail early Wednesday.
Nitesh Rane has been asked to report at Goa's Pernem police station for three days as per conditions of the bail, and has also been told not to leave the country, police said.
The incident occurred Tuesday evening when Rane's entourage was asked to pay toll at Dhargal on the Goa border.
Angered by the demand, Rane's supporters beat up the toll operators and damaged the booth. He has been booked for rioting, arson and assault.
