Filmmaker Gunasekhar's much awaited Telugu stereoscopic period drama "Rudhramadevi", which was originally slated to release on September 4, has been reportedly delayed owing to pending work on visual effects.
"The team has been working on the visual effects for the last few months. Another couple of weeks of work is still pending and hence, the film's release might be pushed. It isn't official yet but it looks most likely," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
The source added that the film is now expected to release in the third week of September.
The film, which features Anushka Shetty in the lead, is the story of the reigning queen of Kakatiya dynasty.
The film also features Rana Daggubati and Allu Arjun in important roles. Nithya Menen, Prakash Raj, Catherine Tresa, Aditi Chengappa and Krishnam Raju are also part of the ensemble cast.
