No proposal to reduce employees age: Government

There is no proposal to reduce the age of central government employees from 60 years to 58 years, the government announced Thursday.

"Attention of the government has been drawn to some news items appearing in a section of the press regarding proposal of the central government to reduce the retirement age of central government employees from 60 years to 58 years," an official statement said.

"It is clarified that government has no proposal to reduce the age of central government employees from 60 years to 58 years," it added.
