The Pakistani government said Friday it was satisfied with the investigations into the assassination of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto and rejected the need for a separate probe, a media report said.
"We will wait for the court decision and then evolve a future line of action," Dawn quoted Information Minister Pervez Rashid as saying.
Benazir Bhutto was assassinated in a suicide attack and firing in Rawalpindi Dec 27, 2007, after she had addressed an election campaign rally.
Four investigations have already been carried out and the case is before a court, the report said.
"Since the matter is in court, we cannot initiate a separate investigation."
"Let us see what the court decides on the investigation reports already submitted to it," the minister added.
The first investigation was carried out by a joint investigation team, the second by Scotland Yard, the third by a UN commission in 2009 and the fourth by the Federal Investigation Agency, the report said.
Pakistan's former military ruler Gen. Pervez Musharraf, who is also facing trial in Bhutto's murder case, had already been granted bail.
Some others accused of being involved in the assassination are in jail.
