The last session of the 14th Odisha state assembly will begin Feb 3 and conclude Feb 13, officials said Friday.
Governor S.C. Jamir will address the house on the opening day at 11 a.m. Finance Minister Prasanna Acharya will present the vote-on-account for the year 2014-15, according to a notification issued by the department of parliamentary affairs.
It will be the 15th and last session of the assembly as the term of the present government ends in April.
The house is likely to pass the much-awaited Odisha Lokayukta Bill during this session. The bill was approved by the state cabinet earlier this month.
The chief minister and the council of ministers will also be under the purview of this proposed act.
The session is likely to be stormy as the main opposition Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party intend to rake up several issues including the mining scam.
