Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday called on former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at his residence here to enquire after his health.
Patnaik said he wished the Bharatiya Janata Party leader patriarch a long and healthy life.
"I just made a courtesy call on Vajpayee ji to enquire about his health. I was a Cabinet Minister in his government," said Patnaik after the courtesy call.
He said there is no political significance to his visit.
The Chief Minister said he conveyed to Vajpayee's family that Odia people remember Vajpayee very fondly and conveyed their best wishes for his long life.
