Odisha Jan Morcha (OJM) president and Rajya Sabha member Pyari Mohan Mohapatra Monday appeared before the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the mega chit fund scam in the state.
"I appeared before Enforcement Directorate. I stayed there for about two hours and twenty minutes and submitted some documents...But, I can't reveal anything as it will affect the investigation process," Mohapatra told IANS.
Enforcement Directorate sources confirmed that Mohapatra appeared before the investigating agency and submitted some documents relating to the Seashore group, a chit fund company in Odisha, which allegedly cheated people of about Rs. 1500 crore in the state.
CBI had grilled Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) honorary secretary Asirbad Behera Sunday in connection with the cricket body's suspect dealings with the Artha Tatwa (AT) group, another chit fund company in the state.
