The Cement Manufacturers' Association (CMA) on Thursday said that it has offered to provide its full support to the government for evolving a pragmatic approach towards arriving at a transparent pricing for the key building material.
"Cement industry is key to support India's growth and development, and the manufacturers are committed to find solutions which make the sector sustainable while upholding the interest of the consumers," said a CMA statement, after its representatives met Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari here.
Gadkari had raised concerns that cement industry raised prices after expansion of road construction activities.
