One person was injured in clashes between two communities in Jharkhand's Palamau district on Sunday, police said.
According to police, the members of one community had called for a shutdown on Sunday at Satbarba police station of Palamau district to protest a police lathicharge on Saturday evening.
To ensure that no untoward incident takes place, police diverted the routes for immersion of idols here.
Police resorted to lathicharge on Saturday evening when the people involved in the immersion of idols protested against the decision to ban DJ songs and route diversion.
When another community members took out the procession, then it was protested by the people who had called for a shutdown leading to clashes. One person was attacked with a sword.
The injured persons have been admitted to a local hospital here.
