A suspect was killed and two police officers were injured during a gunfight in Texas state of the US.
According to Houston Police chief Art Acevedo, the shooting took place on Tuesday when officers responded to a home burglary in the fourth largest city of the US.
Two of the police officers jumped the fence and went into a backyard to clear the suspicious storage shed when a male Hispanic suspect opened fire, Xinhua news agency reported.
The first suspect was shot dead at the scene and the second person, a Hispanic man dressed in black and with a blue bandanna, fled and remains at large.
One of the injured is in critical condition, the official said.
