A documentary feature based on the life of Paralympian Oscar Pistorius will be introduced to the distributors at the upcoming 69th Cannes Film Festival.
Content Media has picked up the international sales rights to the documentary. The film titled "Pistorius" follows the rise and fall of the inspiring, Olympic hero turned convicted murderer, reports variety.com.
The Cannes Film Festival is scheduled to be held from May 11 to May 21.
Pistorius has been charged for accidentally killing girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp through a locked bathroom door at his Pretoria home on Valentine's Day, 2013.
Vaughan Sivell is directing the movie, which is in production, and is producing with Sean Richard for Western Edge Pictures, and the Gennaker Group.
"Pistorius" is described as "a riveting true-crime story about a beloved sports icon."
"The film will seek to discover whether the image we have of them both is the truth," Content said.--IANS
