Over 100 kindergarten children were trapped when a fire broke out in a shopping mall in China's Fujian province on Wednesday but were quickly rescued, a media report said.

The blaze started in a flower shop in the commercial block in Fujian province on Wednesday and spread through the building to the kindergarten located on the second floor, reported China Daily.

The children were transported to hospital for check-ups after being rescued, the report said.
