More than 200 delegates representing companies and institutions from India and the US will gather at the 9th Indo-US Resurgence Summit to be held Monday.
Talking to IANS ahead of the summit, Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) regional president Lalit Bhasin said the companies would discuss collaborations and several joint venture agreements are likely to be signed during the summit.
"The focus will be on services sector. There is a huge scope to enhance cooperation in the areas like aviation, healthcare and technology," he said.
Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology and Law and Justice Kapil Sibal is scheduled to inaugurate the day-long summit organised by IACC in the national capital. Top diplomats and officials from India and the US are also scheduled to attend the event.
Bhasin said 80 delegates from the US are likely to participate at the event, while the number of Indian delegates would be more than 120.
According to the organiser the summit will highlight opportunities in areas of bilateral trade and investment, technology transfer, joint ventures; public private partnerships and highlight the policy and regulatory framework in the focused sectors.
It will act as a "global window to showcase Indo-US strengths and future areas of collaboration," it said.
