A Palestinian youth, armed with a knife, was arrested after infiltrating from the Gaza Strip.

A military patrol discovered signs of infiltration along the border fence Sunday, Xinhua reported.

The suspect, 18, was eventually spotted and arrested in Shokeda, an area situated seven km from the border.

An initial investigation suggested that he crossed the border near Nahal Oz area.

The suspect did not put up a fight but surrendered immediately after realising he had been identified.
