An Israeli woman was wounded and a Palestinian attacker was killed, as two attacks by Palestinians against Israelis took place in the West Bank territories in less than an hour on Wednesday afternoon.
The first attack took place in Hebron, as a Palestinian man tried to stab an Israeli soldier at a military post in the city, the Israeli military said in a statement on Wednesday, Xinhua reported.
Forces at the site shot and killed the perpetrator, Clashes then erupted at the scene between Palestinian protesters and Israeli security forces, according to the army.
Less than an hour later, a Palestinian man stabbed an Israeli woman in south of Jerusalem. The woman suffered moderate injuries, the army said.
These attacks come amid a month-long wave of violence between Israelis and Palestinians, with lone-wolf attacks against Israelis in the form of stabbings, shooting and vehicular attacks, and clashes between Palestinian protesters and Israeli security forces in the West Bank, east Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip territories.
