Paris-based Indian designer Parul Bhargava is set to make her debut on Indian runway with the forthcoming edition of Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Summer-Resort 2014, which begins here Wednesday.
She will showcase her collection under her label Mirage. It is a luxury French Label with Indian roots and inspired from the concept of Serenity, said a statement.
Bhargava will be debuting her collection in India.
Her USP, she says, is the use of hand embroidery.
"Mirage believes in simplicity and purity of design. Reinterpreting classic designs under contemporary and elegant subjects, questioning and requestioning what is contemporary in today's context," Bhargava said in a statement.
After training with Ecole Lesage, who handles all embroidery for Chanel, Bhargava decided to start her own label. The main aim of her label is to create a bridge between beautiful traditional Indian craftsmanship and sophisticated French design aesthetics.
