The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday said it would review the progress made on the agenda of alliance with the BJP during late chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed's 10-month tenure in office.
"We will review the achievement made during the last 10 months in fulfilling the developmental of Mufti Sahab... He had a vision for making Jammu and Kashmir a modern state.
"Due to his death, his vision is yet to be realised. The party under the leadership of Mehbooba Mufti will need to review how much we have succeeded in fulfilling Mufti Sahab's vision so far," senior PDP leader and former education minister Naeem Akhtar said during a current affairs programme on Radio Kashmir on Wednesday.
"No formal meeting has been held yet under the leadership of Mehbooba Mufti.
"The party will assess whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has a massive mandate of the country, has taken any decisions on it," he said.
He said that keeping in view the changing situation, the party will analyse whether the ministers can fulfill their governance agenda.
"PDP's main aim is not power. We always wanted to represent people of Jammu and Kashmir to fulfill their rights and expectations which they have," Akhtar said.
