Phil Everly dies at 74

Musician Phil Everly passed away Friday in Burbank, a city in Los Angeles. He was 74.

Everly was suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, a lung disease, reports contactmusic.com.

"We are absolutely heartbroken," Los Angeles Times quoted his wife Patti as saying.

Everly was the younger of the duo The Everly Brothers. He and brother Don had a string of hits in the 1950s and 1960s like "Wake up little Susie", "Bye bye love" and "All I have to do is dream".
