Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday released a theme song, which highlights the achievements of his government that came to power in May 2014.

The Hindi song titled 'Mera desh badal raha hai, agey badh raha hai (my country is changing, it is moving ahead)' touches upon various government initiatives like girl education, poverty alleviation, cooking gas supply to rural people, adequate business opportunities, farmers' insurance and employment to youth through skill development.

Modi and his council of ministers were sworn in on May 26, 2014.

The government is making elaborate arrangements to highlight its "achievements".
