A two-legged chocolate poodle in China has become a hit on the web after its owner invented a wheelchair for the dog to help it walk again.

The pet animal in Qinghai province met with a car accident when it was four months old in May. After the accident, the legs became rotted because the dog's previous owners left it at home for more than 10 days without treatment. This led to the amputation of its legs, reported Xinhua.

The owners then abandoned the two-legged poodle in an animal hospital.

Chen Hongle, who works at the hospital, decided to take care of the dog and created the wheelchair using parts of an old suitcase and toys.

To make it more comfortable and safe, Chen upgraded the chair with a chest protector, two seat-belts, a bell and a small lamp.

Three months later, the chocolate poodle now enjoys a dog's life again by running, walking and even climbing stairs with its two wheels.

Chen said he was not a dog lover but the poodle is now part of his family. He posted videos of the poodle on the internet, which has made the dog popular across the country.
