Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu on Thursday inaugurated a coach manufacturing unit at Budge Budge in West Bengal.
He stressed upon strengthening the total infrastructure of the Railways while speaking at the inauguration and laying of foundation stone of several projects of Eastern, South Eastern, Metro Railway and RITES.
A foot over bridge at Agarpara and Tilbhita stations and double line between Plassey and Beldanga stations and new line between Arambagh and Goghat were inaugurated by the minister.
He laid the foundation stone of Vivekananda Meditation Centre at Howrah.
