"Pranab Mukherjee flagged off 'Run for Unity' in Rashtrapati Bhavan today (Friday) in which around 2,000 people participated," said a tweet by the President's Office.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government has decided to mark the birth anniversary of Patel as the National Unity Day and Modi too flagged off 'Run for Unity' from Vijay Chowk. Patel was born Oct 31, 1875.
