President Pranab Mukherjee Thursday paid floral tributes to Guru Nanak, the founder of the Sikh faith, on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti.
A gurbani (hymn) recital was also organised on the occasion of the 546th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
"Vice President Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were among the dignitaries who attended the event. The recital was conducted by Bhai Chamanjit Singh and party," a Rashtrapati communique said.
