President Pranab Mukherjee Tuesday greeted and felicitated the government and people of Trinidad and Tobago on the eve of the country's Republic Day.
"On the occasion of the Republic Day of Trinidad and Tobago, it gives me great pleasure to convey warm greetings and felicitations on behalf of the government and the people of India," Mukherjee said in a message to Trinidad and Tobago President Anthony Carmona.
Mukherjee said India and Trinidad and Tobago enjoy close and warm bilateral relations which are nurtured by historical and cultural ties.
"Our relations have diversified further in recent times, and I am confident that these bonds between our two countries will continue to strengthen in the years to come," he said wishing peace, progress and prosperity to Trinidad and Tobago.
