Paris, June 14 (IANS/EFE) Chelsea's Brazilian defender David Luiz has signed a five-year contract with French club Paris Saint Germain, the club officially announced.
PSG did not reveal further details about the deal but news reports said that it is worth 50 million euros, reports EFE.
The club was "delighted" with such an announcement, noting that Luiz is a "powerful, physical defender."
The 27-year-old player remained hopeful about gaining more trophies and championships with his new club, especially the Champions League.
"I hope we will be successful in every competition we play in," Luiz said.
"I want to win the French league, all the cups and most of all the Champions League which is every player's dream," he added.
Luiz had been playing for Chelsea since 2011 and won the Champions League in 2012.
