Beijing, Nov 11 (IANS/TASS) Russian President Vladimir Putin is planning a visit to India this year, his spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Tuesday.
"The Russian President plans to visit India before the end of the year," he said.
In earlier reports, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the country was looking forward to Putin's visit.
The details of the trip are awaited.
Putin made his maiden visit to India in December 2002 during his first term as the president.
In December 2005 and January 2007 he visited India again while serving as the president for the second term.
