Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday paid tribute to Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his 61st death anniversary, which is being observed as "Nirvan Diwas".
"Men are mortal. So are ideas. An idea needs propagation as much as a plant needs watering. Otherwise both will wither and die Babasaheb Ambedkar," Rahul Gandhi said in a tweet.
Babasaheb Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution, died on December 6, 1956. He was born on April 14, 1891 in Mhow district of Madhya Pradesh.
