Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi will visit West Bengal on Saturday and address jute mill workers and home buyers.
In addition to these meetings, he will also address party workers at Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata.
"Gandhi will interact with jute mill workers at Wellington jute mill ground at Rishra in Hooghly," the Congress party said in a press release.
Gandhi's interaction with jute mill workers comes against the backdrop of a number of jute factories in the state closing down.
"After meeting jute mill workers, Rahul will address the meeting of home buyers at port trust guest house at Kolkata," added the release.
Incidentally, Gandhi's trip comes on a day when Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee would join Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his two-day visit to Bangladesh.
