Rain halted the second day's proceedings in the third Test with India at 292/8 against hosts Sri Lanka at the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) here on Saturday.
Opener Cheteshwar Pujara cracked a superb century and was unbeaten on 135 to shape India's batting effort. He was accompanied by Ishant Sharma, who was unbeaten on 2 during the post-tea session when rain halted play.
India have so far scored 292 runs from 95.3 overs bowled.
Rain washed away the majority of the first day's action with just an hour of play possible on Friday.
