Rain and thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in coastal Karnataka and at a few places in interior Karnataka on Friday, a Meteorological Department forecast said.
A generally cloudy sky with the possibility of rain or thunderstorm on Friday was forecast for Bengaluru city as well.
Maximum temperature was likely to hover around 30 degrees Celsius while the minimum was expected to be around 20 degrees Celsius.
Heavy rain lashed Bengaluru city on Thursday. Kempegowda International Airport, HAL Airport and Bengaluru city recorded 3.9 mm, 13.5 mm and 7 mm of rainfall respectively.
On Thursday, the maximum temperature was 29.4 degrees Celsius, two notches lower than the season's average while the minimum was a notch down at 20.2 degrees Celsius.
Gulbarga and Raichur are consistently recording high temperatures at 41 degree Celsius and 40.1 degrees respectively on Thursday.
