Actor Rajesh Tailang, who played an advocate in the film "Haseena Parkar", will now be seen as a criminal lawyer in the web series "Mirzapur".
"I am playing Ramakant Panday. He is a criminal lawyer. He takes cases in hand that nobody dares to take and this often lands him in trouble. But he is not afraid to fight for the truth. In a way, he is the only positive character in the series," Rajesh said in a statement.
He is playing the on-screen father of actors Ali Fazal and Vikrant Massey.
Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar serve as the executive producers of the Amazon Prime Video's project created by Karan Anshuman and Puneet Krishna and directed by Gurmmeet Singh.
In the digital space, Rajesh also has Anil Kapoor's "Selection Day", which is a Netflix original series.
"I play the lead in this series," he said.
