Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday lauded the Rajasthan Police's Performance Measurement System (PMS) initiative intended for better policing in the state.
Appreciating the initiative, the minister said PMS - an online application to evaluate the performance of all police stations, circle officers and district superintendents of police in Rajasthan on monthly basis - may be circulated among all the states and union territories for replication, said a home ministry release.
He directed that parameters of individual performance auditing and public perception should also be incorporated.
Other good practices in effective policing in different states should be examined and adopted, he added.
