Rasool may shift base if cricket in J&K remains poor

Jammu and Kashmir cricketer Parvez Rasool, who played the first T20I for India against England, on Monday said that if things do not improve in his troubled state, he would think of playing for a different team.

"When I got selected (for the Indian team), I thought there will be a change (in infrastructure). But nothing has happened. On the contrary, it has gone got worse," Rasool, who made his ODI debut in 2014 against Bangladesh in Dhaka, told reporters here.

"Now if it doesn't change in the next two-three months, I will like to play with a different team. I hope the new BCCI-appointed COA (Committee of Administrators) looks into the matter," the 28-year-old said.

Rasool-led Jammu and Kashmir lost to Jharkhand by six wickets in the Vijay Hazare Trophy match here on Monday.

Talking about his experience with India's celebrated former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Rasool, who shared a 27-run seventh-wicket stand with Dhoni in the T20 said, "During that partnership, he hit Chris Jordan for a four. I asked him how did he pre-meditate that shot."

"He told me in international cricket you should see the strength of bowler and play accordingly," he added.
